Working Moma: Mad for Plaid

Hello friends! Sorry I have been MIA lately, it just seems like this time of year is so busy and I feel like I'm being pulled in a million different directions. Between work, home life and all things 'Sydney', my days are being consumed very quickly.

I am working on a few crafty projects that I hope to talk about soon on the blog. I actually LOVE to craft but I've never put anything on the blog before so I will make that a new feature soon.

This challenge is going to kill me. I am sooooo tired of wearing the same things and it's like 100 degrees everyday here so wearing these cardigans is getting annoying. I am so ready for Fall weather but that doesn't happen in Florida until about December!

I am trying to decide whether I want to get my hair cut or grow it out some more. I usually always have pretty short hair but I'm kinda liking this length. (Most days!) I definitely need to get my highlights done soon, they are scary.

My friend got me this necklace from Etsy for my birthday. It's so pretty and girly, but I love it even more because we went to Paris together and this is a nice reminder of that trip.

So I got an unexpected but good surprise today: my friend Debbie (Dark Horse), was in town today and unlucky for her, her car died. Lucky for me that she called me to pick her up and we got to have a nice lunch together and hang out a little. Yea! Also, we are headed to Anthro this weekend so hopefully we will have some good reviews. Plus I finally get to use my birthday discount! I'm hoping to get the Night Skating Top, Bountiful Birds Blouse and the Cattleya Cardigan and maybe the Picture Frame Blouse. (If they have any of these at all or if they even have my size!)

I found this cute dress faux wrap dress at Target the day before I started the 30 for 30 Challenge. I provided the link above if anyone is interested. They also had pink, purple and black in the solid and blue and brown in a geometric print. I love my little bird necklace from Fossil, my Mom got it for me and I wear it a lot. As luck would have it, a few weeks ago I found the matching earrings at Ross for $4!! I was so happy and now my solo bird has turned into a trio.

P.S. I need your input on something important: I got my birthday discount for Anthropologie in the mail today. I have to use it before the end of July so I think I'm gonna have to cheat and buy something. I mean, it's an Anthropologie discount and it happens only once a year. What do you think I should do?? I need the peer pressure to persuade me to use it!

P.S.S. I'm excited because I am FINALLY going to see Eclipse tonight!

OOTD Catch Up

I had a busy weekend so I didn't get a chance to post my OOTD from Sunday. We just went to lunch and ran errands so I tried to stay as cool and comfy as possible.

This is my OOTD for today. I went simple cause I wasn't feeling very creative this morning and you can't go wrong with black & white. Plus, I wanted an excuse to wear my new shoes that I got from Aerosoles on Saturday during our shopping trip. They were already on sale and I got another 25% off! Yeah!

OOTD: Grey Gardens

I think my title is misleading, I wish there was a lovely, colorful garden in the background of this picture but alas, it's just my living room. I just couldn't think of a clever title today. (I guess my chair does have flowers on it though!) I like this grey shirt from Tulle, it's lightweight and it has pockets, even though you can't see them here and it has that adorable bow. My cardi needs no explanation, it's polka dots and therefore adorable in my book.
