Working Moma: Gingham Girl

Sorry for the craptastic picture, I had to use the flash on my camera cause it was so dark this morning. There really is nothing I hate more than having to use that horrid flash! Plus, why does blogger insist on making my pictures look so grainy and low quality, they do not really look like that! Hmph.

I didn't intend on sounding so whiny, so on a positive note, I love these shoes. I've had them for awhile but I've never posted about them. They're comfy and just the right wedge height. Also, be sure to check out Sydney's outfit picture below....she begged me to take her picture and kept saying 'cheese' repeatedly. So cute!

On Moma:
Top: Old Navy
Skirt: Anthropologie
Belt & Bracelet: Ross
Shoes: Born

Sydney is rocking a Hello Kitty nightgown (Target) and bedhead.
Only when you're 2 can you pull this look off.

What I Wore Wednesday: Coral & Navy

Happy Wednesday! I finally remembered to take a picture of an outfit. I have always loved navy and now I am really liking this pretty coral color that is everywhere for Spring. I think they go well together with a touch of gray. I bought this skirt on sale last year from Land's End Canvas and wore it for the first time today. My only issue with their skirts is that sometimes I feel like they are a little on the short side, this one is okay but I recently sent back two skirts because they were just a little too short for me. I mean I chase around a two year old so I don't wanna flash anyone!

Skirt: Land's End Canvas

I really do enjoy the clothing at Land's End Canvas and I purchase a lot from there on a regular basis so I thought I would share a few of my favorite new arrivals.
I am loving the 'vintage' vibe of these two dresses.
The other colors they are offer are super cute too.

These two shirts caught my eye because they look very comfy and cool for spring.
All items can be found at Land's End Canvas.

Workin Moma: Pop of Pink

I love the pops of pink in this outfit and I am so in love with this super cute belt. I think it's perfect for Spring. Also, these shoes are awesome! It's nice to find something at our local Steinmart that doesn't look like resort wear for an 80 year old. I swear, sometimes when I walk in there I feel like I need sunglasses from all of the fluorescent capris and tops. Yikes!

Hope everyone is having a great week! Happy hump day.

Workin Moma: Spring Showers

I don't know if any of you guys live in the South but we got some crazy storms yesterday!
A friends daughter had a tree fall on her car and I saw several signs blown over this morning on my way to work. Luckily, today was beautiful and sunny again, even if the day did start out at 48 degrees. I am unconsciously on a floral kick lately with my wardrobe, this skirt is so spring-y and flowy. I wish I could find more like it. Also, I am loving these mustard colored shoes I got at Target, you can find them here. (These are still full price but the one's at my store are 1/2 off.)

Workin Moma: Floral Pop

Can you believe I am actually posting an outfit picture? I think it's been a few weeks but since we were on Spring Break last week, I didn't really wear anything 'picture' worthy. This week has been so rainy, the kids (and teachers) at school have been going stir crazy not being able to get outside and run around. That's why I chose to wear this pretty spring-y floral shirt, I felt like I needed something bright and cheerful.

Also, I hate the awkwardness of not knowing what to do with my umbrella when I get in the car. I try so hard not to get wet but then I end up slinging the umbrella across my lap into the passenger side floorboard and I end up soaked and the car does too. Am I just missing some magical solution here? Plus, don't get me started about trying to get a toddler in their carseat when it's pouring....grrr!

Workin Moma: The Forgotten

Hope you are all having a great weekend, the weather here is beautiful but we are all stuck inside sick. Poor Sydney has the flu and an ear infection, so she has been pitiful the last few days. She has barely let me put her down but today is the first day she hasn't had a fever so I'll take that as a good sign that the meds are kicking in.

Since I am starting Kendi's 30 for 30 Challenge on Tuesday, I figured I'd better post my outfits from the last week that I hadn't gotten around to yet.

Workin Moma: Purple Rain

Important news first: If you haven't heard, my friend, Debbie of Dark Horse is expecting her first child in August! I'm so excited for her and her hubby. They are such wonderful people (with an amazing family too) and I know that this baby will be loved very much. I look forward to future play dates with Syd and buying lots of adorable things for the babe. (Which I'm sure will be dressed super cute without a doubt!)

I'm kind of going for a monochromatic look here, sticking with shades of purple and black. I really like how the contrasting purple tones turn out next to each other and I thought that the black skirt helped break up all of the purple overload.

Purple top, cardigan & tights: Target
Skirt: Anthropologie
Shoes: Sam Edelman

Syd (and Rita, the dog) trying to hog my camera time. How cute is she in her uniform and sweet red shoes?

This is a close up of my Sam Edelman shoes worn with a different outfit. I forgot to take a pic of them that day.

Also, I'm debating whether to join Kendi's 30 for 30 Challenge again. Anyone participating this round?

Working Moma: Pretty Kitty

Sorry for the poor quality of this picture but it was pouring the other day when I took this and it was too dark to not use the flash. The rain is also why my hair looks like a wet dog. The day that I wore this to work like 4 other people had on animal prints. I notice that this happens a lot, we all wear the same colors on the same day. Spooky phenomenon? I guess that's what happens when your whole staff is comprised of women. P.S. I looked the cutest! :)

Workin Moma: Coral & Gray

I wore this outfit to work last week and I must say that I love these two colors together! They feel nice and cheery on a cold day. Plus, I love these purple ruffed shoes, I think I scored them for like $6 at Bealls Outlet. I love finding a great deal like that!

P.S. Please forgive the Christmas tree needles on my floor, I didn't realize how bad it looked until I saw this picture.

Workin Moma: Buttons & a Runny Nose

I have had this annoying funk in my throat for days now, you know the kind that every time you breathe in your eyes water cause your throat is so dry and then you start coughing like crazy. Yippee. Now poor Sydney has a runny nose and has been sneezing all day. There is nothing worse than a toddler with a runny nose cause they don't know how to wipe their nose yet so it drips down their face until you see it and wipe it away. Sorry if that grossed you out but it's true! Ah, the joys of motherhood.

This outfit is my attempt to brighten my day by wearing one of my favorite cardigans. Plus it's in the 70's again here during the day. I swear, I'm never gonna get to wear any 'real' fall clothes. You folks living where it's freezing or snowing right now are probably cursing me. Sorry but this Florida girl likes the cold weather. Trade ya!

Working Moma: Purple is my Homegirl

Happy Friday Peeps!

I think I love this shade of purple, it's so rich and vibrant and it makes me feel happy. Don't you love wearing clothes that actually make you feel happy? These boots also make me feel very happy, I love boot season! I always feel more powerful and confident when I wear boots. My attitude is like, I can do anything and if you're in my way I will kick your arse with my pretty boots! Anybody ever have that same feeling?

Working Moma: Eye of the Tiger

I actually wore this outfit last week but never got around to posting it. I was called, 'Jungle Lady', 'Wild Woman' or some other variation throughout the day when I wore this cardi. One of the kids at school said that I looked like a cowgirl. I took this as a compliment because cowgirls are awesome. I think I could wrangle a cow in this, all I need is my cowboy hat and a rope.

Working Moma: Mean Mrs. Mustard

I haven't been taking many outfit pictures lately because it's gotten warm here again and I'm sick of wearing summer clothes. Luckily, by the end of this week, it's supposed to cool down into the upper 60's, but I'll believe it when I see it. I am really liking this mustard color for Fall. I can't pull off the cute, vibrant yellow tones but I think this looks good with my hair color and skin tone.

Okay, blogger is being crazy so I'm gonna post this quick before I lose it all!

Working Moma: Retro & Ruffles

I love this dress that I found at Kohl's a few weeks ago. It feels very retro inspired to me and it's very comfortable and transitions easy from summer to fall. I can already picture this with tights and boots as the weather gets cooler. The weather has been amazing here in FL lately, it's such a nice change to the scorching hot summer we had!

Working Moma: Mad for Plaid

Hello friends! Sorry I have been MIA lately, it just seems like this time of year is so busy and I feel like I'm being pulled in a million different directions. Between work, home life and all things 'Sydney', my days are being consumed very quickly.

I am working on a few crafty projects that I hope to talk about soon on the blog. I actually LOVE to craft but I've never put anything on the blog before so I will make that a new feature soon.

Dress/Jumper: Ross
Shirt: Old Navy
Sandals: Aerosoles
Owl Necklace: Target (Halloween section!)

I thought that this owl necklace was adorable and was surprised to find it in the Halloween section of Target.
