30 for 30 Challenge: Number Two

Top: Anthropologie
Cardigan: Target
Skirt: thrifted
Belt: Target
Sandals: Born

Here's outfit 2! I am soooo tired today, Sydney kept us up half of the night (I don't know what is going on with her but she is sleeping awful lately), so I thought I would wear some bright and cheerful colors to wake me up or make me look more awake. Either way, it worked and I was in a better mood for the day, I mean how can you be grumpy when you're wearing polka dots? I don't think it's possible.

July 4th & Birthday Paty!

Every year my Mom and I have a joint birthday celebration because my birthday is July 1st and hers is July 4th, so we had the party yesterday. We had a great time with friends and family (my Aunt & Uncle surprised us by driving from Kentucky without telling us)!

I had to of course use the party as an opportunity to wear my new Tiny Windows dress from Anthropologie and Sydney was styling in her Liberty of London dress from Target.

I loved all of my gifts but I was so excited to get the Daisy Chain bracelet from Anthropologie that I have been drooling over, daisies are my favorite flower. (As you can probably guess from the pictures!)

Also, I always set up a 'fake' photobooth at the party and provide a basket full of 'props' for everyone to choose from. I have a ton of these to do but Me & Hubby always do silly ones and the next set is Me, my Mom & Sydney. This is one of my favorite things about having a birthday party! I hope you all had a wonderful 4th!!

30 for 30 Challenge

I have decided to participate in Kendi's 30 for 30 challenge. I may be losing my mind doing this but I think it will be a great way to discover new ways to wear the many clothes I already have in my closet and it will save me some money for a month. I am just having a hard time picking out the 30 items! I am trying to wash all of my clothes so I can decide what to choose. The challenge starts on Monday, July 5th so head over to Kendi Everyday if you want to join in the fun! I can't wait to see everyone's outfits!

You Say it's Your Birthday...

So yesterday was my birthday, I turned 30! My Dad flew in to town from Kentucky and my Aunt & Uncle from Kentucky surprised all of us by showing up on my doorstep late last night! My husband called me 'old lady' all day but he's older then me so I just ignored him. (I mean he is the one that's bald already!) All of my friends were like, 'aren't you depressed about turning 30?'. No! If anything, I am looking forward to my thirties because I have a wonderful husband, a beautiful baby girl, a nice home (with a generously filled closet!) and I love my job. What more could I possibly be thankful for? So goodbye 20's, it was lovely but I think these 30's are gonna rock!

(My Mom, Sydney, Me & my Dad.)
Dress: Anthropologie (I forgot the name!)
Tank: Target
Belt: Ross

We went to a nice Italian restaurant and had a lovely dinner with our families.

This week in Mommyland....

This past week has been really rainy and hot here but we still managed to find the time to take a dip in our new pool. It's just a little eight footer that we stuck on our back porch to cool off in but Sydney's LOVES it. You can see her floating in her boat here that literally takes up half of the pool. My little Pisces baby sure does love the water which is a huge plus since we live in Florida and if we continue to live here she will most likely be around the water a lot. I need to get her in some swimming classes but when I look them up in our community it always says ages 3 and up. Truthfully, it's pretty frustrating. I really want her to learn to swim because I want her to respect the water and know that it can be dangerous. I have a friend whose child drown in the family pool at age 2 so it really freaks me out. Anyway, on to happier thoughts like this second picture of Syd and her Daddy, how cute is it that they are making the same face? Too funny! Hope you are all enjoying your summer!
