Emmy's Loves

Photos from style.com

I am loving these two looks from the Emmy's this past Sunday. Love Keri Russell's bold color choice and adorable hairdo, she always looks so effortless. Also loving Christina Hendricks' lavender gown, it looks amazing with her red hair and her beautiful figure.

OOTD: Argyle Gal

This dress is super comfy but boy does it wrinkle easy. Other than that I love the color and the fit and this little argyle-ish cardigan is so cute. I can't believe that tomorrow is the first of September! It'll be Christmas before we know it, so enjoy the days friends.

Fall Fashion Dreams

I created a few Fall fashion inspiration sets on Polyvore and thought I would share. Since it won't be Fall here in FL for awhile, a girl has to dream. I would love to have all of these looks!

What are you looking forward to most about Fall clothing? I love tights, plaid, tweed, jackets, corduroy, boots and all of the rich colors of the season.

This week in Mommyland....

This is a very exciting and emotional week in Mommyland.....my baby girl started Montessori School today. Since I was in college, I knew that someday my child would (hopefully) attend a Montessori School because I absolutely, wholeheartedly believe in the philosophy and method. So when I started working at a Montessori School 5 years ago I always had in the back of my mind that my child will be here one day and get to have this amazing educational experience.

I'm so happy that day was today. I was so excited and nervous the whole day. Luckily, since I work at the school she's attending, the teachers let me know how she was doing throughout the day. Her only issue was that she didn't take a very long nap and as a result was a little fussy. When I picked her up she was happily playing on the playground. She ran over to me sweaty, smiling and covered in sand from the sandbox. I knew that she had had a good day.

Isn't she adorable in her school uniform?

I bought this Kitty Cat backpack for her at Old Navy when she was about 6 months old. I just thought it was to cute to pass up and I knew she could use it someday.

Of course, she was stylin' in her new hot pink converse!

I think she's still half asleep in this picture.

OOTD: Never Seen Blue

Ok guys, I'm a quitter. I gave up on the 30 for 30 Challenge, I just can't stand wearing some of those clothes anymore. So here's my outfit from Tuesday. I love the color of this top, it's so vibrant and happy. Plus, I really wanted to wear my new shoes from Land's End Canvas, they are so adorable and comfy.

Please excuse my dirty floor, I'm a little embarrassed about the amount of hair. But that's what happens when you have 3 dogs and no time to vacuum.

Color Inspiration: Beautiful Blues

Loving these beautiful blues this week:
08.17.10 {a bit of circular sewing}
Casey at Elegant Musings always makes the most amazing retro-inspired clothing. I love everything that she whips up and she makes it look so effortless. I am just in love with this skirt made out of fabric from Ikea.

I love blue rooms! This color is so lovely and bold.

Havasu Creek
Wishing I was here! Isn't this absolutely gorgeous?

Home-Grown Blueberries
Sydney is obsessed with blueberries lately. I think she'd eat a whole container if I let her! I'm just happy she's eating fruit.

30 for 30 Challenge: Number Twenty Eight

Dress: Target
Cardigan: Target
Belt: Target
Sandals: Aerosoles

This challenge is going to kill me. I am sooooo tired of wearing the same things and it's like 100 degrees everyday here so wearing these cardigans is getting annoying. I am so ready for Fall weather but that doesn't happen in Florida until about December!

I am trying to decide whether I want to get my hair cut or grow it out some more. I usually always have pretty short hair but I'm kinda liking this length. (Most days!) I definitely need to get my highlights done soon, they are scary.

Here are some cuts I like:
