Sorry I've been MIA for a few days. I have been having the worst week at work and I just didn't feel like doing much of anything. That's why I look so pitiful in the last picture. I really just wanted to quit and run away that day. But at least it's the weekend now!

30 for 30 Challenge: Number Fifteen

Top: Target
Skirt: Target
Sandals: Aerosoles
Belt: Steve Madden

Woo Hoo, half way there! This is my faux Anthropologie Snakebite belt, it's by Steve Madden and I found it at Steinmart for $15! Love it. Hope everyone is having a great Monday!

30 for 30 Challenge: Number Fourteen & Anthro Reviews

Dress: Anthropologie
Cardigan: Target
Sandals: Born
Bow Belt: Old Navy

Number 14 was obviously from our (Debbie & I) Anthro shopping day on Sunday. I think this was the quickest reviews/shopping trip we've ever done. We were outta there in about a hour and a half, that's record time for us! With all of the new sweaters and fall items entering the store and it still being 100 degrees here everyday (plus we usually don't even wear 'fall' clothing until December here in Florida), we had no desire to try on much of the new clothing. Sorry that I look half asleep in all of the pictures, I blame Anthro's crappy fitting room lighting!

River Tyne Tee, $68 (size L)
Gifted Skirt, $78 (size 12)
I really liked the rich color of this top and if I was ever going to buy it, I would size down to a Medium. My biggest complaint is that this top is so long. I'm not tall (5'6") but not short either and I just felt like there was too much material going on here. Also, the buttons are kinda awkwardly positions and I'm not sold on all of the draping. I think on someone with a smaller chest who's a giant, it would be cute. This would've been a dress on poor Debbie! Pass for me.

On the other hand, I really liked the Gifted Skirt. I needed to size up to a 14 to be truly comfortable in this skirt. Sorry I didn't get a better picture of it but it's really a cute basic skirt to have and would go with everything. Wishlisted.

Trickle Down Top, $68 (size L)
I spotted this as soon as we came in the door and I had to try it on. The color selection is lovely but I loved this purple hue. I really liked the top because I thought it helped downplay my larger chest. My only complaints are the flutter sleeves and that it is pretty sheer. I would have to wear a tank under it. Wishlisted.

Picture Frame Blouse, $39.95 (size 14)
Sale item! I've been waiting for this to go on sale so I purchased it while I was there with my birthday discount. Love the color and the cut of this top. Buy it!

Sugar & Cream Dress, $158 (size 14)
This is the item that I wanted to try on the most and I LOVE it!! I can't wait for this to go on sale but I have no idea where I'll wear it. The color is lovely and the print is adorable. No complaints on this one. Wishlisted!

Pinochle Skirt, $98 (size 12)
Mystery Top
I really should've sized up on this skirt because you can't tell but it cutting off my circulation here. The print is cute and the material is nice but it didn't 'wow' me. The pleating at the top (which you can't see very well) is just not flattering on my body type. Pass for me.

I did not see this top on the site and I forgot who makes it! Cut way to high for me and I did not like the sleeves. plus, there is too much going on at the neckline. Pass.

Mystery Cardigan by Sparrow

I couldn't find this on the website but I believe it is by Sparrow. They had purple, cream and green. The cardi is adorable. It is lightweight (good for FL), I love the two tone design and the little flowers on the front are adorable. I will wishlist it as soon as it hits the site!

30 for 30 Challenge: Number Thirteen

Crops & Shirt: Target
Sandals: Aerosoles

So I got an unexpected but good surprise today: my friend Debbie (Dark Horse), was in town today and unlucky for her, her car died. Lucky for me that she called me to pick her up and we got to have a nice lunch together and hang out a little. Yea! Also, we are headed to Anthro this weekend so hopefully we will have some good reviews. Plus I finally get to use my birthday discount! I'm hoping to get the Night Skating Top, Bountiful Birds Blouse and the Cattleya Cardigan and maybe the Picture Frame Blouse. (If they have any of these at all or if they even have my size!)

30 for 30 Challenge: Number Eleven & Twelve

Dress, Sandals & Belt: Target

I'm realizing that this dress looks better with a cardigan because it is really pulling across my bust. Also, it wrinkles easily. I am starting to have a hard time with this challenge. I am wishing I picked a few things differently. Like why did I include some things I've never worn before or things that fit don't very well!!

Dress & Cardigan: Target
Sandals: Clarks
Scarf as a belt: American Eagle

My eye has been swollen part of the day, I think I'm getting a sty. Just in case you're wondering why I'm doing a weird eye squinting thing on one side in this pic. I am trying to really get creative here with the scarf as a belt which I've never done before but I like it.

This week in Mommyland....

My Hubby and I have always loved visiting the zoo. My Hubby is from St. Louis and their zoo is free and amazing but the Jacksonville Zoo here is great too. They have done a lot of renovations and expansions on it in recent years so it keeps improving. We used to be the only people there without kids; so it's nice to not get the strange looks anymore! My Mom got us a yearly pass for Christmas and now that Sydney is mobile she loves it. So we all went to the zoo this past Sunday and it was Syd's first time getting to ride the carousel. She always seems to be asleep when we get in that area so we've always missed it before. She was mesmerized by all of the lights, movement and colors and I was dizzy trying to hold onto her tightly. I'm pretty sure she enjoyed it, no crying so that is a positive for me. Isn't she the cutest thing ever in that hat and sunglasses!

On a side note to all of you Moma's out there: why won't my child eat anything anymore?? Is this a phase? It seems like all she wants to eat is macaroni, applesauce and yogurt. And cheese.....anything involving cheese. I feel like she's going to turn yellow she eats so much of it but I figure that it's better than eating nothing. Any suggestions?

Wishlist: Wants, Needs, Loves

I thought it would be fun to do a 'Christmas in July' wishlist of items that I would LOVE to have right now. Some more attainable than others.

Mullany Dress, Anthropologie, $258
Everything about this dress is perfect: the polka dots, the 50's silhouette, the skinny belt....well almost perfect, that price is scary! I am a polka dot girl for sure but I don't know if this dress will ever be mine, even on sale. Sigh.

Rose-Plum Camera Bag, Jo Totes, $89
Can you believe that this is a camera bag!? I have been eyeing this baby for awhile now; I'm thinking that this has Christmas present written all over it. My Nikon D90 would look lovely snuggled in there.

The Office: Season 6, Amazon, $37
Best Show Ever. I think I know every line of every episode ever! Can't wait for this to come out in September.

Fujifilm Instax Instant Camera, Amazon, $67
This is the new generation of polaroid-esque cameras and I must have it. It's so adorable and the instant pics are awesome. My husband says I don't need another camera but what does he know.

Bow Belle Heels, Irregular Choice, $125
I have a slight obsession with red shoes that I inherited from my Mom. I currently have about 12 pairs but you always need more, right? I first spotted these lovelies on Shabby Apple and have been dreaming about them ever since. This is the sale price but I still can't justify spending that much on one pair of shoes.

I'm Having Fun Now, Jenny & Johnny, $14
I have such a girl crush on Jenny Lewis. I saw her perform a few years ago and she is so tiny and adorable! I am so excited about this new album coming out in August. I'm sure it will be amazing!

Bella Necklace, Etsy, $48
This necklace is just lovely. So feminine and colorful. You can never go wrong with flowers.

XBox 360 Kinect, Amazon, $150
This item is more for my husband (but me too). This is the new motion controlled attachment for the XBox 360. We have a Wii but with this version you don't have to hold a controller. The demo he made me watch looked awesome. I'm actually surprised that he hasn't pre-ordered this already. Yes, I married a gaming nerd and I'm proud of it.

My First Table & Chairs, Pottery Barn Kids, $150
This is obviously for Sydney. I am actually planning on getting this set or something similar very soon. She will be starting in the Toddler program at my school in August so this will be great practice for teaching her how to sit at the table to play, eat, etc.

What's at the top of your wishlist??

Flickr Fashion Inspiration: Mellow Yellow

These lovely ladies are inspiring me this week with their wonderfully bright ensembles. I love yellow on other people but feel like it never looks right on me. I wish it did because it is such a cheery, summery color. Are you brave enough to wear yellow?

30 for 30 Challenge: Number Ten

Tank: Old Navy
Cardigan: Target
Skirt: Old Navy
Shoes: Aerosoles
Bird necklace: Fossil

Yea, I'm 1/3 of the way there on the 30 for 30 Challenge! This challenge is a lot harder than I anticipated; there are a few things that I haven't worn yet that I wish I wouldn't have picked. To late now I guess, I will just have to make it work!

Sorry I have been MIA a lot lately, work is kinda stressful right now and at the end of the day I am feeling drained. So my blog suffers for it but better it than my child!

30 for 30 Challenge: Number Nine

Dress: Anthropologie
Cardigan: Target
Sandals: Clarks
Belt: Target

I am beginning to think that my co-workers think I'm crazy for wearing cardigans in the 95 - 100 degree heat. But it's not like I work outside so I have the A/C to sit in all day. Also, I think they're wondering why I am dressing so nice in the summer since school is out and it's a lot more casual than during the year.

I have noticed that I really don't have a 'casual' wardrobe other than jeans. I rarely wear shorts, I'm not really fond of plain or graphic t-shirts and I dislike my upper arms so if I wear a tank top I usually have a cardigan over it. Does anyone else have this problem?

30 for 30 Challenge: Number Seven & Eight

Sweater: Steinmart
Pants: Old Navy
Sandals: Target
(No, I am not counting the tank top, it counts as underwear in my mind!)

I thought I would show what it looks like trying to get a decent picture with my little munchkin running around the room. I think I was saying, "What? Go get a book to read."

Dress: Target
Top: Ann Taylor Loft
Sandals: Aerosoles
Belt: Ross

I realized today that if I stand sideways in this dress with it belted like that, I look pregnant again. Not exactly what I was going for!! Either way, it's a very versatile and comfy dress so I guess people can think what they want.

On a side note, I think I'm going to have to switch out one of my cardigans that I had picked out for the challenge because when I washed it, it shrunk! I mean it basically turned into a shrug. It said you could dry it so I don't know what happened. So I am trading the reddish colored cardigan for a different red colored cardi; they're pretty much alike so I'm not cheating. Right?

30 for 30 Challenge: Number Six

Blouse: Anthropologie
Skirt: Old Navy
Sandals: Born

Monday, Monday....going for a simple but colorful look today. I love this top, which I think I've said 100 times already but it's so cute and comfy. Everytime I wear this skirt, it looks like a different color in my pictures, but I promise that it is black.

P.S. I am obsessed with the Words With Friends app on my I-Phone. Is anyone else a fan? If you want to play me, my username is SassySara1.

30 for 30 Challenge: Number Five

Top: Target
Skirt: Anthropologie
Sandals: Born
Earrings: Etsy

Here is outfit 5! I just wore this to run a few errands and go shopping around town with my Mom and Sydney, of course. (Don't worry, I didn't buy anything for myself!) It was super humid and rainy today so I just wanted to be comfortable and cool, so this skirt did the trick. Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Late Anthro Reviews

I am just now getting around to posting these Anthro reviews from a few weeks ago. I am such a slacker lately. I blame it on the lack of beauty sleep. Here you go:

Scribbled Bouquet Cardigan, $98 (size XL)
I sized up to an XL in this cardigan because it looked like it ran small and it fit perfectly. I really wish this wasn't $98 because I would've bought it on the spot. It has so many colors in it that it would pair with endless items but I just can't pay that much for a super thin cardigan. But at the same time it kills me that it won't be back in stock until September online so that obviously means no sale on this baby anytime soon. Wishlisted.

Keeping Tabs Tee, now $39.95 (size L)
I was really hoping to love this tee when I picked it up because I love the whimsical print but it was a total failure for me. First of all it is soooo thin and secondly, that strangely ginormous pocket! The pocket is so out of place and it was so large I think I had room to put the contents of my purse in there. Pass for me.

Candied Dots Blouse, $78 (size 12)
When I saw this cute top in person I was instantly drawn to the colorful candy pattern so I thought I would give it a try. I am so glad that I did because I love this top. I think it is really flattering and the material is so nice. Since I tried this on, my Mom bought me this top for my birthday! Love it!

Raccoon Rumpus Blouse, $88 (size 14)
I know that some people think that it's weird to wear raccoons on their clothing but I think it's adorable. I really liked this shirt, the cute print, the subtle texture of the fabric, the waistband and the ruffles. I normally don't wear a lot of white tops (because I'm a huge klutz) but I would totally buy this on sale. Wishlisted!

Secret Garden Blouse, $98 (size 12)
When i spotted this blouse online, I thought it was so feminine and pretty so I was anxious to try it on. I really liked the embroidery and the cute tie but those ruffly wings on the top were just killing me. I do not need help drawing attention to my chest so I didn't care for them at all. Pass for me!

Tambour Blouse, $98 (size 12)
In person this top is very pretty, the eyelet and details are very girly and sweet and the color blue is lovely, just not on me. I felt like this top washed me out and it was a tad to long for my short torso, plus those sleeves sticking out on the sides were a negative too. Pass for me.
